Last of the Summer Wine fans can stay in Nora Batty’s cottage from £15pp a night
Last of the Summer Wine may no longer be on our screens, but fans of the show can have the ultimate themed staycation – in Nora Batty's cottage itself.
The picturesque cottage in Holmfirth, in West Yorkshire, served as the filming location for Nora's home for the beloved show but nowadays it's a holiday rental – and there are heaps of tributes to the hit programme.
For a start, it's been furnished and decorated just how the bossy battleaxe (played by Kathy Staff) would have loved it herself.
In fact, it's described on its listing as a "home-from-home with all mod-cons" thanks to its retro decor.
Oh, and there are plenty of surprises for fans, from cardboard cut-outs of iconic characters (including Nora herself of course), as well as vintage photos from the show and behind-the-scenes snaps from filming.
The best part is that you won't need to break the bank if you want to bag a stay.
Prices for a week's stay start from £425 a week on Sykes Holiday Cottages . The property sleeps up to four people so that works out at £15pp a night if you fill the rental.
The cottage itself has everything you could want for an idyllic break in the picturesque Yorkshire countryside.
The three-storey property offers two bedrooms, a bathroom with a freestanding and separate shower, and a kitchen that has everything you need for whipping up some hearty grub.
If you don't fancy cooking, there are shops, pubs and restaurants just a few minutes' walk away.
Then of course there's plenty more for fans of the show to explore – including the permanent Summer Wine exhibition located in the property that featured as Compo's house.
Think everything from heaps of memorabilia to videos playing famous clips from the series (including the iconic submarine and inflatable doll).
Make sure to stop by the gift shop where you can find heaps of quirky souvenirs from the show and Holmfirth.
